The apostles expected that when men were converted and regenerated they should also be baptized with the Holy Spirit at once and fitted for immediate service. (Eph. 1:13; R. V. Acts 2:38, 1 Cor. 12:13; Acts 8:15, 16; 9:17; 19:2: R. V.)
